OCCUPATION: Account manager for a semiconductor manufacturer’s rep company
AVERAGE WEEKLY TRAINING: 20 – 25 hrs per week
FAVORITE WORKOUT(S): Cycling and bricks. OW swims at East Canyon with the Sharks
FAVORITE/MEMORABLE RACE(S): 2007 Echo Tri. This is the largest open water swim I had been in to date. The sprint wave ran into the Oly wave on their second lap and it was sheer chaos. I did not realize you could get sea sick while swimming but I got very close to having some issues. J I calmed down after the first buoy and everyone spread out but my swim time was trashed by then.
CURRENT TRIATHLON GOAL(S): HIM in Boise and HIM (Halfmax) in Vegas for the club championships
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO COMPETE AND TRAIN: have always been competitive (football, tennis, soccer, motorcycle racing, cycling). I have cut back on the motorcycles so this is a new outlet. It is a unique sport that allows you to compete against individuals in the race as well as yourself. I want to constantly improve myself and see what place that may get me in any given race. If I have given it my all and can finish unhurt I consider the race a success.
